Reports to: Site IT Leader
Location: Greer, South Carolina
Status of Hire: contract assignment, hourly, non-exempt
Contract Duration: 4 months+ (could go longer, could go direct)
Pay: $30-40/hr depending on experience
Industry: automotive manufacturing
Objective: Run day-to-day operations of Information Systems used at plant site handling all technical aspects such as infrastructure, networks, telephony, servers, backup & security, computers, software solutions and users support. Provide operational management of IT infrastructure in an industrial manufacturing environment and champion end user support using subject matter expertise and solid communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Deploy and support the locally managed IS solutions, deploy ITS projects validated at Corporate, Division or Plant level
Manage department KPIs and/or main deliverables such as number of system incidents and user requests according to monitoring tools and ticketing system
Provide proximity support to plant users for all IT and computing issues
Install all hardware and software on site
Deliver IT/IS projects on time and in line with Corporate/Division standards
Lead or contribute to IT/IS projects on his/her site, coming from Corporate / Division or local
Manage and report information Security incidents
Manage hardware inventory and proposes renewal to site management
Make sure all IT equipment is properly secured (maintenance contract or spare parts)
Manage local backups according to Corporate/ Division Standards
Drive the IT preventive plan to organize preventive maintenance operations on site
Create and maintain up-to-date site IT / IS documentation (infrastructure, inventories,
technical/functional documentation, contingency procedures…)
Ensure the right use of IT on all hardware, software and security scope
Inform and train all users about rules & rights (Computer Charter Agreement)
Manage additional IT resources as needed: subcontractors, trainees, etc.
Participate in IT business unit meetings & IT System Engineer meetings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Network Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in IT/IS manufacturing support plus relevant IT certifications (operating systems, networks, etc.…)
4+ years of experience in deskside support, software and hardware setup, user equipment and work station set up with peripherals, networking/network administration to include setup of routers and switches
Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11
Knowledge of Office 365
Experience with/exposure to SAP and manufacturing execution systems
**Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, regardless of authorization or visa transfer
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check to be eligible for hire
