We hereby provide you an opportunity to work for my client who combines chemistry, technology and ingenuity to make high performance wood products that are extremely durable and stable, opening new opportunities for the built environment.
Role Summary
As our manufacturing capacity and output grows, our acetic acid by-product stream represents an increasingly significant revenue driver. In addition, we have identified meaningful potential both to enhance our operating profitability and accelerate our global growth through purification of our acid. We are looking for an experienced chemicals industry professional to help maximise the commercial opportunities in our acetyls value chain. The optimal candidate will have the energy and commercial acumen to identify, pursue and secure new, profitable customer accounts as well as having the communication skills needed to ensure both existing and prospective acetyls customers’ needs are well understood and properly served.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Help ensure minimum net cost of acetyls for Accsys Group operations.
• Seek to maximise sales opportunities and value for co-product acetic acid
• Be responsible for acetic acid contract negotiations within the Accsys Group utilizing other internal resources as appropriate, and interacting with distributors, end customers, and joint venture partners
• Work closely with Supply Chain team to ensure successful execution of acetyls contracts at all group sites coordinating external acetyls logistics and aligning with available supply from the Accsys sites
• Working with our technology teams, contribute to commercial prioritisation and action plans for acetic acid clean-up
Qualification / Experience Requirements
• Bachelors’ degree or higher preferred
• Commercial chemicals experience a strong advantage
• Sound commercial judgment and proven track record in similar roles in which competence in understanding and evaluating technical or engineering propositions has been required
• History of international client relationship management
• Self-motivated with high achievement drive and initiative
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• React positively to challenges, and cope with pressure of work
• Ability and desire to travel within Europe as part of the role
