Job Description – Lead Process Engineer / LNG & Gas Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Process Engineer or LNG/Gas Specialist to support the J3 Expansion Project. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across all process engineering activities, ensuring robust, compliant, and efficient process design for LNG terminal systems. This role requires extensive LNG industry expertise, strong engineering judgment, and hands‑on experience across all phases of project development and operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in LNG onshore facilities or LNG terminals.
- Deep knowledge of international and Singapore-specific codes and standards applicable to LNG projects.
- Experience in the design of regasification systems, BOG (Boil-Off Gas) systems, and membrane tank systems (highly advantageous).
- Comprehensive experience across all project phases, including:
- FEED (Front-End Engineering Design)
- Detailed design
- Commissioning and operations of LNG process facilities
- Hands‑on expertise performing steady-state and dynamic process simulations using UniSim or Aspen HYSYS simulators.
- Proven experience in the design and integration of process control systems and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to represent the Company in front of contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the Company’s primary representative for all Process Discipline matters related to the J3 Expansion Project.
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee all Process-related detailed engineering activities for Jetty 3.
- Review and approve all EPC process deliverables, including process design documents, interface drawings, and vendor‑supplied technical documents.
- Manage and resolve all process interfaces, ensuring consistent and aligned process conditions across contractors, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Perform or validate essential hydraulics calculations, process modeling, and simulation studies in support of design and operational requirements.
- Take full ownership of the terminal’s overall process design, ensuring technical integrity, compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
- Participate in all relevant process safety workshops (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies) and ensure timely closure of actions.
