General Description:

Develops and maintains cost efficient manufacturing processes and methodologies which are consistent with lean manufacturing practices. Inspires development direct reports utilizing standardized processes. Understands shop floor management principles.

Establish and maintain clear and concise communications of project status and planning. Performs root cause and failure analysis as required. Drives cost reduction initiatives by leading continuous improvement events (Kaizen). Provide engineering expertise and guidance on specifications, acquisition and installation of equipment, follow through procurement process including budget preparation, justification, acquisition, facilities preparation, equipment installation, and training. Evaluate current manufacturing and logistics processes to plan future initiatives. Apply project management skills and work closely with facility staff, equipment suppliers, and contractors to coordinate projects to completion.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lean value stream transformation of the assembly plant

· Support the vertical integration of core component manufacturing

· Develop time study evaluation methods and lead the creation of production routers

· Utilize value added work elements to create balanced processes. Facilitate cross functional Kaizen events to drive continuous improvements

· Developing training curriculum and training the organization

· Understand forms of waste and effectively administer continue improvement methods to reduce and eliminate them

· Effectively manage, plan and organize daily work activities and provide data analysis to drive decision making

· Incorporate problem-solving tools to effectively identify root
