Job Title: Learning and Development Superintendent
Location: Mooresboro, NC
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried
Pay: $85-95k plus annual bonus up to 12%
Reports to: EHS Manager
Industry: metals processing, industrial manufacturing
*Local candidates preferred, will offer relocation as needed*

Introduction:
A manufacturing client in Mooresboro, NC is seeking a dynamic and strategic Learning and Development Superintendent to lead a comprehensive training program. Reporting directly to the EHS Manager, the Superintendent will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's learning initiatives and ensuring the continuous development and proficiency of our workforce. While exercising autonomy in the strategic planning and implementation of training programs, major decisions, policy changes, and program evaluations are discussed with the EHS Manager for guidance and alignment with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will bring innovative approaches to training, collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the team.

Job Responsibilities:
· Develops a robust training program strategy aligned with organizational needs and future growth
· Integrates training programs seamlessly into the broader learning framework
· Refines training initiatives to meet evolving organizational requirements
· Obtains and/or develops effective training materials and job aids utilizing a variety of media
· Stays informed about industry trends/best practices to enhance the effectiveness of training
· Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
· Plans, organizes, facilitates, and orders supplies for employee development and training events
· Coordinates offsite training events
· Serves as the vendor manager for contractor and external training
· Conducts introductory training for new hire personnel, providing a solid foundation for their roles
· Coaches and assists Managers in developing their team members through career pathing
· Facilitates the execution of all company training plans
· Administers spending against the departmental budget
· Develops pulse surveys to evaluate training program effectiveness
· Fosters EHS Department cultural alignment with values and philosophies
· Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the department to the organization

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning/Development, Leadership, Business, or related
· 5+ years’ proven experience as a Learning & Development Superintendent, Training Manager, or similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment
· In-depth knowledge of learning and development principles and best practices
· Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective training programs
· Familiarity with various training methodologies and technologies
· Strong organizational and project management skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Leadership experience in guiding and developing L&D professionals
· Proficiency in evaluating training program effectiveness through metrics and assessments
· Ability to adapt strategies to meet evolving organizational needs
· Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies in training and development
· Experience in budget administration related to training and development initiatives
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about organizational learning
· Certification in Learning and Development or related field is a plus

· Application of mathematical concepts for data analysis and budget calculations
· Interpretation of various instructions, whether written, oral, diagrams, or schedules
· Strong problem-solving skills for addressing challenges in training delivery
· Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technology tools
· Utilization of analytical skills to assess and improve training program effectiveness
· Excellent organizational skills for planning and executing employee development/training events
· Seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors
· Adaptability to evolving organizational needs and industry trends
· Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision
· Showcase leadership qualities and mentoring capabilities for team development
· Proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges and opportunities
· Building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with employees
· Work independently when required and collaboratively within a team
· Application of knowledge of industry regulations/standards relevant to training programs

**Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, regardless of authorization or visa transfer
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check to be eligible for hire
