Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the management of the safe, efficient, and accurate flow of materials to the assembly
operation, as well as shipping and receiving functions, and inventory control and accuracy. A successful candidate does
this by providing supervision and direction to Logistics Operations shift supervisors and their team members. Additionally,
this position is responsible for training associates, staff allocation and/or planning, directing continuous improvement, 5S,
and safety initiatives on a regular basis.
Essential Functions of this Role:
Lead IFNA safety initiatives with all associates within the assigned area of responsibility
Ensure that the SAP processes associated with the IFNA Material Delivery System and Logistics Operations are strictly
adhered to
Manage the daily activities for all Logistics Operations shift supervisors and associates.
Assist in coordinating all distribution activities in shipping, receiving, warehousing, picking, and line side delivery
Work with materials and production planning teams to achieve expected product levels and stock layout plans
Maintain accurate and up to date warehouse management records that reflect the right components at the right time
in the right quantity and in the correct locations
Develop and monitor metrics for performance in support of cost savings, and internal/external delivery performance
Contribute to continuous improvement in lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, Kanban, poka-yoke, visual
management, 1-piece flow, housekeeping, preventative maintenance, etc.
Work closely with quality team regarding supplier delivery and quality topics
Review, revise and create work instructions within the assigned area of responsibility
Keeps management team informed of progress, developments and pending issues
Manage and administer the training plan for all Logistics Operations associates
Create and implement development plans for assigned personnel to improve the overall performance of the Logistics
Operations team
Responsible for understanding and complying with company policies, practices and procedures and for developing
direct reports by coaching, counseling, and disciplining in accordance with such policies, practices, and procedures
Responsible for writing timely, objective performance reviews and communicating results in one-on-one meetings in
a timely fashion
Facilitate an environment where direct reports make suggestions to improve processes
Actively participate in safety committee meetings and company safety initiatives
Override any decisions made to ship non-conforming product.
Comply with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001-2015, and IATF customer requirements
Performs other duties as assigned
Specific Skillset Required for this Role:
Working knowledge of IATF, ISO 14001-2015, TS 16949, and ISO 17025
Trained and knowledgeable in site safety policies and procedures
High level of analytical and problem solving ability and usage of problem solving tools
Understanding of modern inventory management principles
Understanding of material handling equipment and maintenance of material handling equipment
Ability to develop and maintain a material handling equipment training certification program
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methodologies
Ability to develop and maintain logistics related work instructions
Evidenced leadership capability for collaborating with internal and external customers toward continuous
improvement
Ability to prioritize specific tasks, and increase sense of urgency when situations arise
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as with external customers and suppliers
Strong knowledge of MS Office products to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated understanding of IRNA Quality Management System (QMS) as applicable to assigned area of
responsibility
Understands the consequences of non-conformances to the customer
Understand the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to achieving quality objectives
Must be available to work flexible hours to service customers and plant operations
