Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will identify, communicate, and drive improvements throughout the production and engineering process. This position reports directly to the Value Stream Manager.

The following specific responsibilities include:
• Engage shop floor personnel and engineers on process improvements
• Understand and control process inputs and outputs
• Design processes to ensure quality and standardization
• Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements
• Evaluate aspects of manufacturing design and process to recommend improvements
• Evaluate drawings, schematics, work order routings and bill of materials
• Track and execute ECRs (Engineer change) and NCMRs (Non-Conform)
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services
• Submit capital expenditure and daily expense requests with justification
• Champion projects and drive 5S initiatives
• Participate in daily GEMBA walks
• Problem solving (fishbone, 5-why, and 8D)
• Participates in PFMEA (Process, Failure, Mode, Effects, Analysis)
• Drive Non-Conforming material review for Value Stream

Qualifications:
• 3+ years manufacturing experience and an associate’s/bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of ERP, Excel, and Power Point
