Our client, a world leading EPCM, is currently seeking talented and highly motivated Preservation Lead for a positions based throughout Alberta and British Columbia. This is a great opportunity to further your career with a prominent global organization.
The ideal candidate will manage and execute preservation activities as part of the site construction team.
Responsibilities
• Establish and create a preservation and monitoring regime and system for plant and equipment through all stages of project; fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, and final handover to commissioning & startup.
• Participate with the engineering team to ensure preservation requirements are clearly identified; develop set of preservation checklists, routines and procedures.
• Ensure al l supplier recommendations are incorporated into all reports, procedures and project programs; consistency of database and database integrity.
• Manage and control use, storage and safe disposal of preservation chemicals and materials ; long term storage preservation and transportation
• Communicate with engineering and construction team on stages of fabrication; estimated timelines, planning and scheduling
• Act as mentor and coach to all new and junior team members
Qualifications
• Degree / Diploma or years of related experience will be considered.
• Deep understanding of the Preservation process and ability to understand Process Flow drawings.
• Previous experience working with engineers, construction teams and suppliers.
• Ability to work well both independently and as a team player
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory and warehouse
• Strong attention to detail
• Critical thinking, organization and communications skills
