Our client is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor in the greater New Orleans area for a 6-12 month contract with a possibility for extension and/or conversion.
The role is responsible for coordinating maintenance and operations support across small to mid-sized service contracts, capital projects, or less complex facilities. The supervisor oversees entry-level technicians and/or other maintenance leads, ensuring consistent execution of tasks, strong client engagement, and alignment with operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain ongoing communication with site leadership to understand operational needs
- Conduct periodic reviews with plant management to strengthen collaboration and gather performance feedback
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency
- Ensure team responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with service expectations
- Monitor adherence to internal procedures and client-specific requirements
- Regularly assess site-level risks and identify areas of concern
- Support financial accountability by tracking performance metrics and resource use
- Contribute to budget planning and cost control efforts
- Evaluate client operations to identify future needs and potential service enhancements
- Assist in developing proposals and project plans that align with client goals
- Participate in business development activities, including presentations and estimates
- Apply analytical methods to assess current workflows and recommend improvements
- Support transformation initiatives to optimize site performance
- Provide periodic reporting on utilization, budget status, and team performance
- Contribute to site-level planning and strategic alignment
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of related experience
- OR a combination of education and experience totaling 10+ years if non-degreed
- Strong technical background in mechanical maintenance operations
- Effective communicator across all levels—internal teams, clients, and external partners
