Millwright Supervisor

TRS is seeking a Millwright Supervisor to join their team of experience professionals. The Supervisor functions as a company representative with customers and assigned team of employees. The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day job site needs by ensuring that company, employee and customer needs are met by utilizing all available resources in the most effective, efficient manner while also providing a safe working environment.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Develops the daily work schedule for all employees on the assigned job site based on information provided by the site supervisor
  • Initiates activities to mobilize the resources to a job site, including but not limited to inspecting equipment and issuing specific work assignments to employees
  • Review job specifications, schedules, material, equipment & supply requirements, purchase requisitions, etc., as necessary and request additional materials, manpower, etc. from Operations as needed
  • Maintain daily contact with customer, and develop positive customer relations
  • Maintain daily records of all significant job activities and documentation of any circumstances that may have future importance relative to change orders, back charges, hours worked equipment, safety, or quality problems
  • Review job status and schedule on a regular basis with Operations and identify any changes in conditions that will require a change in the scope of the work, and notify Operations/Project Manager
  • Complete project per approved plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedule as provided by Operations/Project Manager
  • Maintain all job records and documents, return upon completion of project or as required (such as, work orders, job safety analysis, equipment inspections, terms and conditions, bill of ladings, receipts, expense reports, time sheets, etc.)
  • Identifies employee issues that may require coaching, counseling or discipline; monitoring and appraising job results; conducting annual performance reviews, training and implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, and ensures employees stay current with certifications – including safety
  • Understands and follows OSHA regulations specific to business needs and responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers
  • Monitor the performance of the sub-contractor, implement corrective action if performance is below standards and report problems to Dispatch immediately
  • Supports the sales effort by performing job walks, site assessment, and job quotes as needed
  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience as supervisor related field
  • Experience working with Industrial or Manufacturing Machinery Required
  • Machinery Installation, Heavy rigging experience, NCCCO Certified Rigger Millwright welding and / or Gantry Systems experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • OSHA 30
  • Ability to comprehend and follow technical drawings and load charts
  • Must be willing to travel extensively
  • Computer literate; able to use Microsoft packages and internal systems
