CONTRACT DURATION: JAN 2023 - DEC 2023

This position assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function, or project. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities.
The purpose of this Onboarding Officer position is to perform simple, routine, assigned tasks which are tactical and administrative in nature following established Company procedures and support the Company’s Human Resources professionals.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dedicated, well-spoken onboarding officer to join our HR department.
POSITION TITLE: ONBORDING OFFICE.
SITE LOCATION: WEST PAPUA.
START DATE: JAN / FEB 2023
CONTRACT DURATION: 12 MONTHS (TENTATIVELY)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping new hires learn the company policies, showing new hires their job duties
- Scheduling start dates for new hires, and gathering the necessary paperwork.
- Should be a great communicator with a flair for interacting with new people.
- Creating policies and handbooks that detail company operations.
- Emailing new hires with details about the company, including parking information, work schedules, and dress codes.
- Welcoming new hires with prepared onboarding kits and an office tour.
- Introducing new hires to their team members.
- Providing new hires with manuals, guidelines, and passwords, as needed.
- Detailing all new hires' initial tasks and answering any queries.
- Ensuring new hires have the necessary technical assistance to set up their hardware and software.
- Gathering and filing all paperwork related to new hires, including contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
- Arranging product and company demos and presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's or associate's degree in human resources management or a related field.
- Experience as an onboarding or in a similar HR role.
- Experience with HR standard software, such as IRIS and MS Office.
- Good working knowledge of HR practices and labor legislation.
- The ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
