Our client, a leader in renewable energy, is currently hiring Onshore Wind Turbine Technicians in Scotland, to support with maintenance and servicing of onshore wind farms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, servicing, inspections, fault-finding, modifications, retrofits, and major component replacements on wind turbines and associated plant equipment.
  • Use SCADA and diagnostic systems to monitor performance, troubleshoot faults, maintain records, and maximise turbine availability and energy yield.
  • Support site operations, projects, and non-routine maintenance activities while working safely in accordance with HSSE requirements.
  • Work independently and within small teams, demonstrating flexibility for travel, on-call duties, and weather-dependent working schedules.
  • Take ownership of initiatives that improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
 

Key Requirements

  • HNC, ONC, or NVQ qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline, with proven wind turbine maintenance experience (Senvion experience desirable).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and power electronics systems, including use of advanced diagnostic and power tools.
  • Solid understanding of HSSE practices and the ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
  • Competent Slinger/Signaller (Banksman), fully GWO certified (including Enhanced First Aid and Advanced Rescue), and holder of a full UK driving licence.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills and willingness to travel to support other sites when required.

To be successful, you must live in Scotland or be open to relocate for the duration of the contract.
