Job description
The Approvals and Permits Specialist is responsible for obtaining, tracking, and maintaining all required permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals for projects. The role involves coordinating with government authorities, regulatory agencies, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and project requirements.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Research and identify permit and approval requirements for projects.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with local, regional, and national regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor approval timelines and follow up on pending applications.
  • Ensure compliance with zoning, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of permits, licenses, approvals, and renewals.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, legal, and project teams to obtain required information.
  • Review project documents to ensure they meet regulatory standards.
  • Track permit conditions and ensure ongoing compliance throughout project execution.
  • Provide regular status reports on approvals and permitting activities.
  • Assist in resolving regulatory issues, permit rejections, or compliance concerns.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes that may impact projects.

Qualification & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in permitting regulatory compliance, project coordination, or a related area.
  • Knowledge of government approval processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and permit-tracking systems.
