Permitting and Regulatory Manager

Here is an exciting opportunity to join a leading marketer of fuel products, as a Permitting and Regulatory Manager in beautiful Burnaby, BC! The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic team of talented professionals in a position that boasts longevity, and good-natured work.

In this role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for strategizing and executing the P&R activities for many large projects in a refinery setting. The position will also require the successful individual to own the overall permitting strategy for the project portfolio and coordinate P&R activities between internal teams including, but not limited to project planning teams, and government relations/communication teams.

Job Duties:
• Work with EPCM permitting specialists, external stakeholders and regulators to ensure that submissions are on track to support the project schedules
• Interface with internal working groups to assess critical elements of success in preparing permit applications that align with strategy
• Lead permitting project and contractor activities in the generations of permitting plans, templates and register
• Accountable for selecting contract permitting resources to mee the program project requirements
• Review implications of permitting regulations from regulators point of view to guide processes in obtaining regulatory support

Qualifications:
• Degree in engineering, or environmental science
• Knowledge of Regulatory and Permitting requirements for capital projects in BC
• Previous experience directing consultants, specifically reviewing document quality and meeting deadlines
• Experience working with municipalities, first nations and regulatory agencies required
• Has strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations
