Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in Kitimat, British Columbia as a Pre-Commissioning Instrument & Controls Coordinator! Reporting to the Pre-commissioning Lead, and working in conjunction with the Pre-commissioning Electrical, Mechanical, and piping Leads, Mod Yard Pre-Commissioning Managers, Site Construction Instrumentation Supervisors and Commissioning Supervisors, the Pre-commissioning I&C Coordinator is accountable for the planning and oversight of all Instrumentation and Controls pre-commissioning activities for the facility.
Key Job Duties:
• Define Site I&C pre-commissioning scope with regards to module fabrication yards, construction, and commissioning
• Identify and plan the field execution work packages for implementation.
• Develop detailed plans, procedures, and instructions at the early stages of the project, and manage the process through to implementation
• Review project schedule and assist with the development of the detailed integrated facility I&C pre-commissioning schedule to support project milestones
• Ensure pre-commissioning Contractor personnel are in compliance with pre-commissioning test procedures across all disciplines
• Ensure all pre-commissioning ITR’s release with field work packages are properly completed in a timely manner and promptly returned to the Turnover team.
Key Requirements:
• 15+ years of proven leadership experience in pre-commissioning/commissioning of large process facilities
• Bachelor of Engineering, Engineering Tech, combined with appropriate field experience in managing trades is a must
• Strong interpersonal, listening and communications skills, capacity to build trust among internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-stress and challenging environments
• Strong coaching or mentoring skills are an asset
