Procurement Director

Due to the recent award of a number of major, world-class projects, my client is now in an exciting period of significant growth, and seek a Procurement Director to lead their Procurement function. This role is based in the South West.

The successful candidate will be required to apply their extensive Procurement Management expertise on major and complex projects, and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.
You will be personally responsible for the evaluation, negotiation, award and post-contract management of site construction contracts individually of $20 million+

You will have knowledge of the following:
Project Procurement expert on large EPC projects
Performing procurement activities of an assigned project
Performing material control, procurement, logistics and field material management activities
Providing general and direct supervision to procurement management personnel
Performs procurement management duties including key responsibility for critical project supplier negotiations

You must:
Have EPC contract/commercial management experience in oil and gas projects
Have strong commercial awareness and business acumen alongside technical appreciation and knowledge
Be a respected and experienced team leader
Be motivational and inspiring
Be a tough negotiator when required
Be a Forward thinker
Have enthusiasm to develop and coach staff

The ideal candidate will have experience of working for major EPCs such as Bechtel, KBR, Fluor, Foster Wheeler etc.
