The Opportunity Our client, an industry leader in the Building Maintenance sector is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team in Vancouver, BC. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to further progress their careers within the construction industry. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the commercial real estate, or government infrastructure projects, with a strong desire to join a profitable and stable organization with lots of opportunity for future growth and career advancement. Responsibilities As a Procurement manager you will be results orientated, a great negotiator, customer focused and an innovative strategist working on better costs and commercial agreements with vendors. • Ability to plan. Organize, supervise all procurement activities working in alignment with subcontracts, material control, inventory, and logistics and purchasing. • Ability to negotiate commercial terms with vendors and subcontractors. • Create, initiate and oversee procurement analytics and reporting. • Manage the bid process, RFI, RFQ of qualifying vendors and subcontractors based on price, quality and risk management. • Expertise in full cycle procurement activities from pre-qualification to close out. • Ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing processes, by identify market conditions and organizational needs Qualifications • Degree/ Diploma or relevant post-secondary education • Minimum 7 – 10 progressive years of commercial and infrastructure construction projects. • Managed projects over $10Million We thank all applicants for their interest; however only those who work in Canada will be considered for this position and only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
