We have an exciting contract opportunity to join a project in Kitimat, BC on a fixed rotation cycle as a Project Controls Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and monitoring of the Construction Plan, Schedule and Progress for the assigned scope of work being executed by subcontractor(s) or direct work force.
The individual will be responsible for developing a process to proactively manage the critical path of the assigned Areas as well as developing and maintaining a process to resource load schedule as required for construction and pre-commissioning / commissioning staff and craft. The individual holds the responsibility for Construction & Commissioning schedule reporting as required to support Client monthly reports, internal Construction & Commissioning, internal Construction & Commissioning, & internal reports and must be able to provide accurate and timely “what-if” schedule scenarios as required by Project Management.
Prior experience in system turnovers and commissioning works will be an added advantage.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related Lump Sum execution experience
- Proficient in the latest version of Primavera with the ability to train others as required by management team
- Well proficient in Microsoft office tools with expertise in excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Experience and skills on schedule analysis and progress reporting will be an added advantage.
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
