Our client, the nations top GC firm is seeking a Purchasing Manager for their Rochester, MN office. This is a Direct Hire permanent opportunity supporting a top notch team!
Responsibilities
- Managing the pre-bid and post-bid process for all trade contractors
- Manage bid documents, contracts, purchase orders, consultant agreements and amendments
- Expediting all contract documents sent out for execution
- Overseeing evaluation and approval of subcontractors for optimum quality and value
- Developing positive relationships with Trade Contractors, Vendors, Jobsite Personnel and Internal Company Department Personnel as well as Gilbane''s other Regional Offices
- Review trade contractors scopes of work
- Collaborating with project teams, preconstruction team, regarding strategy and schedule for bid and award process
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree
- 15 years of purchasing or construction experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong computer skills with proficiency is Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
