TRS Staffing is searching for a Quantity Surveyor, in Ingleside Corpus.
Duties Include
• Prepares quantity take-offs from design drawings.
• Monitors and maintains daily tracking of some construction contractor’s installed quantities, manpower levels, equipment utilization and other resources. Assists contractors when required.
• Interacts with Cost Estimation group for developing construction values.
• Verifies for compliance Acceptance Certificates and Construction Cost Certificates from contractor.
• Reviews contractor’s daily reports for validity against own observations and measurements. Works with contractors to resolve differences.
• Prepare all statistical quantity information for inclusion to management reports and presentations for review and use by Construction Manager and Project Controls Lead.
• Maintains complete records of all approved quantity documentation.
• Updates the quantity database for tracking engineering documentation releases and installed construction quantities.
• Works with Construction Superintendents, Lead Planner, Cost Specialist and Lead Quantity / Progress Measurement Engineer as required.
• Makes regular progress assessments of installed quantities for all managed Job Titles, WBS codes and Prime accounts.
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
• Proficiency in use of MS Excel, MS Word computer programs.
• Understands weighted value concepts and cost reimbursable contracting philosophy.
