Risk Senior General Manager

TRS Middle East is working with a leading Finance Entity in KSA and is looking for a Risk Senior General Manager to join their team.


The Risk Senior General Manager will set in place a Risk Management framework and optimize current Risk Management infrastructure in order to identify and manage all risks to substantiate the achievement of business objectives. Evaluate risk management strategies to efficiently and cost-effectively manage those risks and this often involves risk financing including insurance purchase. Designing, developing, delivering and analyzing enterprise wide risk reports for senior and executive level management and the Board of Directors;

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1 Identify risks and threats to operations and objectives and
eliminate/mitigate the same.
2 Proactively look beyond the obvious to identify continuous improvement
opportunities to gain operational and executional efficiencies.
3 Identify and implement corrective measure to avoid and reduce risk.
4 Ensure internal control oversight and compliance with laws and
regulations, safeguarding of assets, & compliance with organization
policies and procedures.
5 Develop overall policies and procedures relating to risk management in
the organization.
6 Design and implement an overall risk management process for the
organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the
company when risks occur.
7 Providing strategic and tactical support to internal stakeholders and the
Board in reviewing and analyzing new businesses, transactions and
processes; identifying risks and recommending solutions.
8 Establishing the level of risk the company are willing to take through
rigorous study and analysis.
9 Conduct risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with
criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements
and environmental factors, and evaluating previous handling of risks.
10 Advising or training staff at all levels on core and on-going risk
management concepts and issues.
11 Manages and develops a comprehensive process for assessing,
identifying, monitoring and reducing business risks that could interfere
with Client’s objectives and goals.
12 Conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison
with internal and external auditors.
13 Establishing of enterprise risk management framework and
infrastructure encompassing credit, market, liquidity, interest rate and
operational risks.
14 Assisting the Board of Directors in setting risk tolerance/appetite levels.
15 Ensures that a Risk Assessment workshop is conducted regularly, the
primary objective being to update the risk register for all businesses.
16 Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training
within the company.

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's degree in Management, Finance, or Accounting.
Minimum 15 years of work experience in a financial services risk management or related role.
