TRS Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a high-caliber Safety Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with our client's team of experienced professionals.

Position Summary
The Safety Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating safety activities for an assigned region, area, or business unit to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements.
This role serves as a trusted resource for field operations and leadership teams by providing guidance, oversight, and support for environmental, health, and safety initiatives. The successful candidate will help drive continuous improvement in safety performance while fostering a proactive and safety-focused culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate safety activities for assigned projects, facilities, or operational regions
- Conduct safety audits and inspections and recommend corrective actions to address hazardous conditions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable safety regulations
- Develop reports, presentations, and safety briefings for management and project teams
- Provide strategic and proactive direction on initiatives designed to improve environmental, health, and safety performance
- Implement and maintain all aspects of the company safety program and safety manual
- Ensure field personnel and subcontractors comply with established safety standards and procedures
- Promote consistency, quality, and compliance across all assigned locations
- Oversee safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and corrective action implementation
- Provide guidance regarding safety processes, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in the development and administration of safety initiatives and programs
- Coach and mentor safety personnel and field teams
- Provide performance feedback and support annual review processes for direct reports
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts for safety-related positions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of safety experience, including lead or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and risk management principles
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, DOT, and related regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience utilizing health and safety management systems and reporting platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- OSHA 10-Hour, OSHA 30-Hour, and OSHA 40-Hour training
- OSHA 500 certification
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, engineering, industrial, or manufacturing projects
- Experience leading safety initiatives across multiple projects or operational locations
