Senior Electrical Engineer

Fluor is one of the world's largest publicly-traded engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and maintenance companies, providing innovative EPC services to government and private-sector Clients in diverse industries.

We are looking for Senior Electrical Engineer to work across a range of projects to providing engineering and design support across some of the largest resources projects in Australia.


Duties and responsibilities include the following:


Responsible for providing the quality power systems electrical design in accordance with applicable standards, project technical requirements, project budget and schedule.
Prepare and deliver cost-effective electrical engineering designs from conceptual design to detailed design, tender and construction.
Liaise with clients and key stakeholders.
Preparation of technical reports
Ensure documentation of appropriate standard is provided to update all relevant Engineering, Operational and Maintenance databases on project completion.
Ensure the safety of designs through application of specialist expertise, standards, reviews, risk assessments and risk management.

The following experience/skills are required for the position:


Demonstrated electrical design experience in resource projects in both brownfield and greenfield environments.
Strong knowledge of electrical power systems design including expertise in systems modelling such as Digsilent PowerFactory, and SKM Power Tools, is highly desirable.
Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards, good engineering practice and the applicable statutory requirements.
Extensive experience working in a major project environment within a multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders
