Position: Paralegal – Dispute Resolution
Location: Irving, TX
Type: Full-Time
Department: Law Department
Reports To: Assistant General Counsel – Dispute Resolution
About the Role:
Our client’s Law Department is seeking a skilled Paralegal to support its Dispute Resolution team. This role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to third-party subpoenas and coordinate handling of complaints and court filings
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and produce information for subpoenas, discovery requests, and investigations
- Assist with budget preparation, tracking, and management in partnership with Finance and external counsel
- Provide day-to-day support for litigation, federal/state inquiries, compliance initiatives, and internal proceedings
- Manage tasks and projects independently while coordinating with attorneys as needed
- Handle legal hold notices and maintain compliance with policies and global standards
- Perform data entry, maintain databases, and assist with corporate registrations and contract recordkeeping
- Conduct legal research as directed or proactively
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive matters
Basic Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years in a law firm or corporate legal department, with at least 1 year supporting litigation attorneys
- Paralegal certificate
- Ability to pass background check
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of federal and state court systems, litigation, and regulatory matters
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and legal management systems (TeamConnect experience a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Legal Assistant or global equivalent
- Experience in private practice or corporate legal environment
- Outstanding project management and critical thinking skills
