TRS Staffing Solutions are excited to announce the opportunity for a Temporary Works Coordinator, working for an Industry Leading Civil Engineering company.

The role is involved in a significant infrastructure project, in the UK.

The role will be based in Northamptonshire.

As a TWC you will be required to manage and co-ordinate the specification, design, approval, checking, installation, maintenance and removal of all necessary temporary works (TW).
Identify all TW and record on the TW Control Register. You will need to assess the risk level of all TW and record on the TW Control Register.

Preparation of Design Briefs with full consultation of those involved, ensuring they are adequate and in accordance with the actual situation on site. you must ensure TW design and design checks are carried out, as well as ensuring a Design Check Certificate or similar is available, where required.

Designs must be available and issued to interested parties (e.g. Client, Principal Designer). You will need to ensure the Safe System of Work for the erection, use and dismantling of the TW are prepared, and are communicated to and understood by those involved. You must also be able to provide full details of the design, including any limitations or constraints associated with the TW, are available to those responsible for the erection of TW.

TW must be inspected during construction, ensuring adequacy of materials. It is essential that you ensure ground conditions, general site conditions, loadings etc. are as stated on the Design Brief or the TW design assumptions (and remain so during use). Hold Points (Permit to Load/Unload) must be identified and are known by all those involved and are not passed until a Permit is issued. Your role also requires you to check that anyone carrying out bespoke fabrication of temporary works is competent.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Temporary Works experience is essential
• HNC in Construction or equivalent qualification
