Job Title: Vice President of Tourism Advisory
Location: CEO
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Job Summary: The Vice President of Tourism Advisory will lead the strategic planning and execution of or client's tourism initiatives, providing expert advice to enhance the destination's appeal and drive sustainable growth. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing market trends, and developing innovative strategies to promote tourism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive tourism strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the tourism sector.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, tourism boards, and industry partners.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of tourism projects and campaigns.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of tourism professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Policy Development: Advise on policy formulation to support sustainable tourism development.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success of tourism initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in tourism management or advisory roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Skills: Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of tourism trends, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and driving successful tourism initiatives.
