This role will be supporting all the functions within the Accounts Receivables and assist other Finance team members within financial processes. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to ensure continuous improvement of data quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and postage all mail
- Post cash daily: including checks, wires, ach transfers
- Answer the main phone line
- E-mail invoice copies and statements to dealers/customers
- E-mail credit references
- Set up new vendors with banking, and keep files currently updated.
- Collection calls
- Call and file tax exemption certificates and keep current.
- Collect updated W9’s as needed.
- Releasing parts and trucks from credit hold
- Reliance invoices: type and federal express all documents to the bank for collection.
- Verify AP ACH/Check run: match invoices, check for accuracy (Domestic and Foreign)
- Answer phone calls from dealers/customers to help reconcile or solve problems
- Research and reconcile any discrepancies, such as short pays or overpays on invoices.
- Contacting customers to update all master data information
- Validation of the existing sales examption certificates with customers and requesting renewals
- Process mid-month Dunning report.
- Set up new Tax Jurisdictions in SAP
- Filing
- Miscellaneous debits/credits
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ experience in general accounting
- Strong computer skills – SAP experience a plus
- High math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and/or bookkeeping procedures
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
