Electrical Engineer
This position is located in Spartanburg, SC.
Objective:
Support management to ensure that the management systems are established, implemented, maintained, updated, and continually improved in accordance with applicable standards, site procedures, and opportunities identified. This position also provides engineering solutions to asset reliability issues in the Electrical & Instrument area for the site.
Responsibilities / Job Requirements:
• Ensure Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Safety, Hygiene, and Energy Programs achieve their respective intended outcomes by following all applicable procedures set forth by the company.
• Establish and maintain a hygienic work area to prevent possible contamination, mislabeling and/or adulteration of products.
• Report any potential risk and/or opportunities for improvement of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Safety, Health, Hygiene, or Energy programs to management to me customers satisfaction.
• Provide leadership and direction in support of achieving compliance initiatives.
• Raise issues or concerns through appropriate supervision.
• Ensure all required permits for work are accurate and in place.
• Conduct Job safety review before work starts.
• Meet the Plant Reliability Goals:
• Make recommendations based on a pareto of area interruption causes.
Lead RCFA’s.
• Equipment RCFA’s are to be lead and implemented as required by the Reliability Engineers.
• Document the equipment RCFA’s in the site repositories.
• Document all equipment RCFA Action Items.
• Periodically, review the effectiveness of RCA actions to prevent reoccurrence of availability issues.
Facilitate and lead the RCM/PPM/FMEA review teams.
• Assemble the relevant data for reviews.
• Participate in the selection of plant personnel to participate in the reviews.
• Assist the review teams with the establishment of PPM tasks stemming from the studies.
• Ensure the RCM Strategy is entered correctly into SAP.
• Review RCM’s/PPM’s/FMEA’s to ensure that they are value added.
• Work with Operations to review the effectiveness of the PPM programs and reliability measures to mitigate chronic and acute availability detractors.
• Assist the maintenance organization to show improvement and reach “best in class” status with maintenance metrics, which are: Asset Availability, Cost, Schedule, Electrical/Instrument Integrity
E/I Technician Workforce Development.
Determine PM strategies for electrical infrastructure.
Study obsolescence and execute projects.
Ensure Engineering Standards / Codes are followed with new project installations.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the Electrical and Instrument work team.
Education/Skills/ Experience:
• Experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience managing a team.
• All business activities are conducted lawfully and with integrity.
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Electrical Engineering is preferred
10 Years in industry experience.
