Job Description and Responsibilities:
• Participate in site safety walks and observations of site conditions and work area
• Daily interaction with the HSE management team to promote safe work areas and practices
• Oversee and on-site management of electrical work: heavy E&I installations, medium/low distribution, switch gear, DCS, PLC and raceways above and below ground, cable tray, buss duct, cable installation, grounding grid and complete instrument installation
• Participate in owners planning and progress meetings as required
• Work closely with the owners QA/QC management team to insure quality requirements are met.
• Timesheet verification, quantity tracking, verify and be responsible for area of work
• Prepare quantity tracking reports: progress reporting, installation progress quantity reports, design quantity progress metrics and validate on a weekly basis
• Validate contractor’s report of work complete, perform check and balance analysis
• Communicate with Project Team throughout the project, updating the look ahead schedules, communicating with contractors and review work for accuracy and quality
• Assist Site Manager in maintaining client’s punch list log
• Perform regular audits for: contractor equipment log weekly, contractor manpower, etc.
• Serves as Client subject matter expert for construction “means and methods” and industry standards
• Manage project objectives and deadlines on behalf of the client
• Validate works conforms to specifications, forms, plans and codes
• Daily reporting of activities to owner management team
Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in major industrial project over $100MM in scope
• Minimum 2 years trade school, Certified Master Electrician and/or Engineering degree preferred
• Experience of all aspects of Heavy E&I installations such as but not limited to: medium/low voltage distribution, switch gear, DCS, PLC and raceways above and below ground, cable tray, buss duct, cable installation, grounding grid and complete instrument installation
• Proficient with MS Office, Excel and project management software
• Ability to recognize change in conditions or risk early and work with engineering to resolve issues in a timely manner to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
• Good written, verbal and computer skills
• Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and members of management
