Onboarding Specialist – Contract Role (Onsite in Redwood City, CA)

We’re seeking a dedicated Onboarding Specialist to help shape the new hire experience at a leading organization in the renewables sector. If you’re passionate about creating seamless, engaging onboarding journeys and thrive in fast-paced environments, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full-cycle onboarding process: from pre-onboarding coordination to 30/60/90-day check-ins
  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
  • Collaborate with HR, hiring managers, and IT to manage onboarding logistics and documentation
  • Provide guidance on benefits enrollment and ensure compliance with company and legal standards
  • Continuously improve onboarding workflows and contribute to a positive employee experience

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:
  • Proven experience managing onboarding processes across multiple organizations
  • Strong understanding of benefits administration and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR)
  • Exposure to DEI-focused onboarding practices
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Mandarin preferred)
  • Background in employee training or engagement initiatives
