Our client, one of the largest utility contractors in South Carolina, is seeking a Safety Manager to join their team in Charleston, SC. This is a full time, direct placement opportunity.
Position Overview: Safety Manager
The Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by overseeing all aspects of occupational health, environmental health and safety (EHS), safety training, accident investigations, and industrial safety operations. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage occupational health and safety initiatives across the organization.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs.
- Monitor and enforce EHS compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct thorough accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Promote continuous improvement in industrial safety practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Occupational Health and Safety training.
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in accident investigation and industrial safety management.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English highly desirable.
