Responsibilities:
• Be an essential member of the shared services team managing the customer credit review process for our U.S. mill locations.
• Management of daily AR cash operations: tracking collections, following up on past dues, communicating with customers
• Analyze & monitor credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit, payment terms, and collateral requirements
• Provide recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk through detailed and comprehensive written report
• Manage bad debt or bankruptcy issues: oversee relationship with collection agency for bad accounts, serve on bankruptcy committee; ensure timely case-filing, follow up on cases through the courts
• Assist in preparation of short-term cash collection forecast, provide actual vs. forecast cash variance analysis, and communicate with local mills for weekly collection targets
• Act as Oracle lead system administrator for the maintenance of the credit and collections module
• Serve as company representative on industry committees such as the NACM Steel Group
• Ad hoc reporting and other projects as needed
Requirements:
• 5-10 years of AR management experience, commercial credit, or related business experience
• BA/BS in Degree in Finance/Business/Accounting
• Proficient with Oracle (aging and credit reports), Accounts Receivable (A/R), Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively leverage system and spreadsheet applications
• Professional demeanor, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
• Zealous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a high paced environment and be manage multiple competing priorities & deadlines
• Certified Credit Executive (CCE) & Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) certifications preferred
Compensation:
$71,800 - $82,570 per year, depending on experience.
