Warehouse Worker - Shipping Associate

Shipping Associates requires heavy lifting, multiple times a day. Strong backs, shoulders and arms are a must.

1st Shift - 8am - 4pm M-F

Position Overview
The position is responsible for pulling boats from the warehouse, moving them to the dock, and loading them onto trailers. Position also unloads trailers bringing boats from remote warehouse.

The job requires the individual to work in a manufacturing environment with a high level of noise and temperature extremes. Environment is not temperature controlled, and extreme heat in the summer and cold in the winter are normal. Incumbent
works in proximity to moving, mechanical parts. Personal protective equipment is required including close-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and cut resistant gloves for some positions.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
 Reads order specifications and pulls boats, paddles, and accessories to match order.
 Loads complete order onto trailers.
 As needed wraps boats as required by order.
 Moves boats from staging area to the loading dock.
 Receives and unloads boats from trailers coming from remote warehouse or being returned by retailer.
 Places received boats back in inventory in designated location.
 Uses hand scanner to scan boats when removing from inventory and when placing back into inventory.
 Maintains a safe work environment and uses proper safety devices as required and provided. Abides by and actively
promotes all facility safety guideline and quality procedures.
 Maintains a channel of communication with supervisor and team members.
 Maintains 5S standards in work area.
 Actively participates in plant improvement projects and teams.
 Ensures that established quality and production levels are maintained to support the business operations.
 Performs all aspects of the job in accordance with the safety standards set forth by the company.
 Makes optimum use of time and keeps work area clean and neat.
 Abides by all the policies, procedures, guidelines of the company, including conformance to good common-sense safety
practices and regulations.
 Completes other duties as assigned by manager and/or other members of management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
 Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
 Ability to resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 Must be able to work and maintain stability in high heat, fast paced work environment.
 Ability to communicate effectively with all co-workers to ensure a good and open work environment to achieve total
customer satisfaction
 Must be reliable and maintain open communication with management to achieve all goals, quality standards, and
production requirements set by Confluence
 Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
 Must be self-directed with the ability to work independently and in a group environment.
 Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work shifts of 10 to 12 hours.
 Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. twenty or more times per shift.
 Must have strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills.
 Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
