SUMMARY
This individual will manage all aspects of the accounts payable function to include coding of and on-time bill pay of company invoices, vendor reconciliation and data entry. In addition to providing support to the Human Resource Manager with processing bi-weekly payroll and generating various HR related reports, as needed.
Accounts Payable
Accounts payable invoice and purchase order data entry
Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function by matching purchase orders to invoices
Obtain and verify approvals for all invoices and check requests
Coding invoices
Able to prepare and process checks for multi-companies
Reconcile vendor statements
Update and maintain vendor database
Update and obtain vendor W-9 Forms
Maintain account payable files both paper and electronic
Assist with the sorting and opening of business office mail
Ability to process and follow-up on rush items
Assist Sr. Accountant to streamline the A/P process
Clean-up and maintain A/P aging reports to keep accurate balance of A/P
Working with A/R and others to resolve account issues, if necessary
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Required Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products with advanced abilities using Excel.
Proficiency with Sage.
Comfortable using a computer for various tasks beyond general accounting.
Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting.
Accuracy & strong attention to detail
Understanding of payroll practices
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar degree
2-3 years’ Accounts Payable Experience
Payroll processing experience, preferred
1 year of Sage Experience a plus!
Experience with Paycom, preferred
Recent grads welcome with a strong desire to learn
