Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Hodges, SC
Industry: food grade manufacturing
Status of Hire: 3 month contract, contract-to-possible-hire
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-4p with flexibility
Pay: $22-26/hr

Job Duties:
Managing accounts payable using accounting software, (eventually SAP) and other programs
Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
Analyzing workflow processes
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Processing due invoices for payments
Comparing invoices to goods received, prices, terms of payment and other charges
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts

Qualifications and Requirements:
Associates degree in Accounting preferred but not required
3+ years of experience in a general accounting role processing accounts payable and/or receivable is required
Proficiency in accounting software and understanding of accounting principles preferred
Ability to work in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access is required
SAP exposure preferred

**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire
