AP Accountant

Job Requirements/Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and timely month end, quarter end and year end close activities
• Perform detailed review of general ledger accounts and postings, including analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy
• Manage the processing of accounts payable including research, coding, matching and posting of payments, check-runs and gaining appropriate signatures (currently a manual process via email)
• Creating purchase orders with sufficient documentation (quote, approvals, contracts, etc.)
• Liaise with international teams to develop T&E reporting process
• Prepare and analyze job costs for ongoing projects and ensure expenditures are in compliance with approval limits
• Assist with system implementations and process automation—structuring reports and methods with scalability in mind
• Review and maintain process for timely and correct calculations and payments of property taxes and insurance for properties in multiple legal entities
• Maintaining and preparing year-end tax reporting (Forms 1099) and assisting with annual filing requirements
• Assist with accounting projects such as: annual financial statement audit, research of payables, balance sheet reconciliations, and other various ad hoc tasks
• Perform general administrative duties including organizing and maintaining accurate files and records, scanning of invoices, etc.
• Maintaining contact with vendors to ensure the Company is fully reconciled with vendors at all times
