Our client is a prominent integrated development, design, and construction firm offering solutions to clients across various sectors including Industrial, Institutional, Building Renewal, Commercial, Retail, and Residential.
Salary Range: $85000 - $120000 Annually
Responsibilities:
- Understands the contractual responsibilities of the Architect (Prime Consultant).
- Develops and delivers project necessities such as drawings, reports, specifications, etc.
- Works through phases like Schematic Design, Design Development, Contract Documentation, and more.
- Key member of the “Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)” team.
- Assists in coordinating project documentation from all associated design disciplines.
- Has strong graphic/visualization skills for preparing project presentations.
- Supports the team in adhering to the project schedule and achieving milestones.
- Participates in project meetings and responds to requests for information.
- Involved in the Construction Contract Administration phase, assisting in administering the construction contract.
- Ensures quality of deliverables by monitoring compliance with corporate standards.
Qualifications:
- Has 5-10 years of architectural experience, including coordinating teams and contributing to all phases of projects.
- Holds a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Environmental Science and is registered with the Architectural Institute of BC (or eligible to be registered).
- Demonstrates a high level of initiative, independent judgement, and a strong work ethic while performing work duties.
- Possesses expertise in design and/or technical realms, with a focus on creativity, innovation, and understanding of the practical requirements of the building industry.
- Has a clear understanding of Contractual and Professional Liability risks and works to mitigate them.
- Proficient with REVIT and AutoCAD and understands their application to defined project phases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships internally and externally.
