Specific Role:
- The BDM will act as the prime contact of the client for a specific project and the specific stakeholders such as investors, offtakers, technology partners, etc., focusing on creating relationships, networking and jointly with stakeholders getting the projects to the next phase.
- The BDM will oversee the necessary value chain of the product(s) with essential technologies, and understands the work processes during the project lifecycle;
- The BDM will work closely with the technology specialists in the process scope and technical content of the projects.
- The BDM develops the feasibility package for the stakeholders and such a package includes technical components as well as commercial components;
Duties and responsibilities:
- Taking an ownership role in the beginning of the project to get the project from a conceptual phase to a feasibility or engineering phase;
- Works closely with the MBD on the development of a potential project case;
- Seeks the necessary feedstock providers and offtakers for the products in a certain geography;
- Initiates and maintains the relationship with clients and important stakeholders;
- Being an active representative of the company and its activities during conferences and other networking sessions;
- Develops relationships with potential clients for certain market sectors;
Secondary tasks:
- Together with the Business Development Team, Initiates/develops new product portfolio and;
- Supports the Business Development team for marketing and communication activities
Education and experience:
- Bachelor degree with additional specialist courses or university degree in Industrial Engineering and Management (technische bedrijfskunde), Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Technical Business Management;
- Minimum of three years experience in similar roles (Project management, Business Development)
- Fluency in English language is required, Dutch is a pre;
- Practical experience to develop feasibility and business reports.
- Computer literate.
- Willing to travel (due to the international prospects/clients).
Soft skills and behaviour:
- Team player and a natural easy communicator;
- Networking skills are a pre;
- Must be able to lead and delegate but also complete processes on your own;
- Able to translate technical complex topics into understandable manageable actions for other project team members.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Develop and follow-up a number of initial prospects;
- Convert these prospects into realistic feasibility studies;
- Search for new technologies.
