Key responsibilities:

•The role requires management of a number of projects and becoming involved in planning and execution at an early stage. The ability to plan and execute of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary.

•Have good exposure into interface at traction power substation (TPS) between the TPSS and the 132 KV/220 KV transmission line originated from grid substation.

•Have experience into outgoing fedders and traction return connection in the form of cables or bare conductors between TPS and the OHE and between SP/SSP and the OHE.

•Have a good understanding into Short circuit study, Protection coordination study, Insulation coordination study, EMI/EMC study of the railway environment, Earthing and bondingsafety study, Catenary Pantograph dynamic interaction study, Wind study, Pollution mapping, unified power quality correction study.

•Planning and execution of Low Voltage (Power Supply up to 1000 V) 50 Hz (redundant network, installations such as signalling- and telecom systems, earth cable system issues, EMC, lighting, point heating).

•Planning and execution of High Voltage (Power Supply 2*25 kV) (Overhead line system, feeder cables, installations such as booster transformer, breaker relay and disconnecting switch, earth cable system issues, EMC).

•Have good experience of working with Power Supply for LRT, Metro, Monorail, High Speed and/or Freight railways and other Guided Transport Systems.

•Experience in the analysis and documentation of rail engineering works and processes from Feasibility and Design review to Implementation and Client Handover.


Candidate Specification
•Holds an engineering degree in Electrical from a recognized reputed university.

•12+ years’ experience preferably in an Electrical design works, with a proven record in site engineering and design.

•More than 7 years’ experience in railway/transport/infrastructure projects.

•5+ years of experience in similar post.
