Job Description

Civil Designer - Highway Civil Designer – Highway

Skills Required - Transportation, NCDOT, Roadway, Civil Engineering, Highway

Direct and independently complete assigned designs

Checks the accuracy of assigned tasks completed by other staff

Pro-actively identify technical, schedule or financial issues and seeks resolution from the Project Manager and/or the client, as appropriate to the situation

Make major design decisions that meet the needs of external customers while coordinating the impact of such decisions on related project efforts

Assist the clients in bidding or contractor selection if authorized by the Project Manager

Recommend and prepare change orders

Monitor construction and supervise field personnel assigned to a task, data collection or a specific project

Respond to contractor questions and issues, and prepare and issue project addendum

Participate in the creation of proposals

What You Need for this Position

7 to 10 years of design/engineering experience in roadway or highway (NCDOT) design

Intermediate to advanced ability to use Civil AutoCAD 3D, engineering automation tools

Must be capable of operating technical analysis equipment and computer equipment

Must be able to read technical literature and engineering plans


Qualifications:

Diploma in civil or ITI

3-5 years technical experience in highways structure design.

To be considered for this job you must have Indian citizenship, speak fluent English.
