Civil Project Engineer

Here is an exciting new opportunity as a Civil Project Engineer in a remote position for our client, an innovative and technology-led engineering firm for their location in Alberta. Our client is a major player in the mining, energy, and industrial sectors. In this role, the Civil Engineer will work with like-minded individuals to take part in planning and executing projects through the phases of engineering projects!

Job Duties:
• Organizes and manages phases and work packages to complete engineering for projects.
• Work with other project engineering professionals, in multidisciplinary project teams, to deliver projects and guarantee multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and project objectives and guidelines.
• Support engineering contactors during construction, including site inspections, field engineering and provides information to any requests.
• Monitor and regulate project plans by reviewing performance expectations, design criteria, etc.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in Ports & Marine industry
• Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering or any related discipline
• Experience with software programs including Bluebeam and Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Experience with road design, earthwork and site preparation, drainage, and pond design
