TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Material Controller role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain material tracking plans aligned with project schedules and construction sequencing

Monitor material quantities, including take-offs, usage tracking, and change management
-
Coordinate with engineering and procurement to support material requisitions and delivery timelines
-
Track material status (required, ordered, received) and maintain accurate reporting
-
Identify potential shortages or risks and support forecasting and resolution efforts
-
Collaborate with construction and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability
Qualifications
-
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
-
3+ years of experience in civil materials coordination, quantity tracking, or project support
-
Experience interpreting drawings and working with material take-offs
-
Strong Excel skills and experience managing large datasets or material reports

Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities
-
Ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, and construction teams
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience supporting infrastructure, industrial, or heavy civil projects
-
Familiarity with material management or ERP systems
-
Understanding of construction sequencing and material logistics workflows
-
Experience with forecasting, reporting, or quantity reconciliation
