Civil Project Coordinator

We, at TRS Staffing, are seeking a Civil Project Coordinator for one of our clients, a local, multi-disciplinary general contractor specializing in civil and commercial construction based in Vancouver, BC. The Project Coordinator, reporting directly to the Project Manager, will be responsible for scheduling, budgeting, quantity surveying, reporting, document control and quality control activities.


Responsibilities:


Assist in project document control, such as daily reports, shop drawings, labor timesheets and RFIs
Support the Superintendent with operational tasks such as preparation of work plans, scheduling and supervision of subcontractor operations
Implement and monitor Quality and Safety Plans
Provide support in basic engineering calculations, designs and specifications
Supervise the field operations and keep track of orders and schedules of deliveries made to the job site


Qualifications:


Post secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a similar scope
At least 1 year of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Coordinator with a General Contractor in heavy construction/ commercial buildings construction project
Strong knowledge of project control software applications such as AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite
