For our client's renewable project on a refinery site in Sweden we are currently searching for an experienced Civil Supervisor. Foreseen duration of this project is until end of 2026.
The Civil Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of civil, structural, and architectural aspects of construction projects within a refinery. They collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities:

Inspection and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections of civil and structural work, including foundations, steel structures, concrete, and architectural finishes.
- Verify compliance with design drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Identify and address any deviations or deficiencies promptly.

Safety Compliance:
- Monitor safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
- Participate in safety audits and promote a safety-first culture among workers.

Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate CSA activities.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and potential risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between different trades (civil, structural, architectural) to ensure seamless project execution.

Problem-Solving:
- Address construction-related issues promptly, proposing solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Resolve conflicts or discrepancies related to CSA work.

Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and progress reports.
- Prepare daily logs and reports for project documentation.

Quality Control:
- Ensure that construction materials meet quality standards.
- Monitor workmanship and craftsmanship during construction.

Project Support:
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Provide technical support during construction activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: A degree or diploma in civil engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, particularly within refineries or industrial settings, is preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Swedish AMA, construction codes, standards, and best practices.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and address discrepancies promptly.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
