We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Supervisor to oversee and coordinate structural construction activities on our client's ongoing HydroThermal Cleanup Unit (HCU) project. The successful candidate will act on behalf of the EPC contractor, ensuring that all structural works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site structural construction activities, including steel structures, concrete foundations, pipe racks, equipment supports, and related civil works.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and applicable codes (e.g., Eurocodes, AISC, etc.).
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of structural works and materials.
- Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Review and approve method statements, lifting plans, and work permits related to structural activities.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, inspections, and non-conformances.
- Support the implementation of project HSE policies and procedures on site.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings and provide input on construction planning and sequencing.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural supervision on large-scale industrial or petrochemical projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel and reinforced concrete construction practices.
- Familiarity with international construction standards and codes.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and interface with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; Swedish and/or Polish language skills are a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience working on EPC projects in the oil & gas or refining sector.
- Previous experience in European construction environments.
