Duties:
Involvement in design development meetings to ensure contractor deliverables will support best in class execution.
Facilitate constructability & operability workshops.
Participate in bid evaluations/clarifications to ensure best practices and resource requirements are addressed.
Participate in kick-off meetings and provide required inputs.
Monitor project progress during execution to ensure that activities support project KPI’s.
Conduct periodic site visits to verify the best practices followed and, advise project teams on improvements needed.
Safety/continuous Improvement:
Lead usage of construction best practices adhering to safety.
Provide guidance in construction reviews on the strategies in relation to best safe practices.
Strategic Contributions:
Team player, leader and, coach for best project execution strategies.
Support detail design development to ensure lean principles including modularization techniques are being used.
Support the procurement process for contracts review and technical evaluation of contractor strategies.
People Management:
Review contractors resource loaded schedules and give comments to project leads.
Responsible for mentoring, guiding, and measuring performance of subordinates.
Communicate with various organizations to facilitate the contractor especially during the mobilization/demobilization and related activities.
Skills(key functional, leadership, or business skills required)
Excellent knowledge of detail design, procurement processes, fabrication, transporting and, setting of mega modules.
Thorough knowledge of various construction disciplines, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and turnover activities.
Strong people management and interpersonal skills
Sound Planning, quantitative and analytical skills
Responsible for mentoring, guiding, and measuring performance of subordinates.
Communicate with various organizations to facilitate the contractor especially during the mobilization/demobilization and related activities.
Performs in a multi-project complex environment, assuring that integration and alignment of construction disciplines together with pre-commissioning leads to achieve Mechanical Completion.
Supports Project Assurance Head (through Construction Assurance Manager) in his active participation in other project key activities and resources-commitment decisions.
Support and advice projects in the developmental phases to ensure design, construction and, start up strategies align with business goals.
Ensure the project constructability requirements are met for safe and cost effective execution.
Confirm modularization and lean techniques are being applied to project development and execution.
Perform project evaluations and critique the execution of their performance to ensure KPI’s are being meet. Supply continuous improvement ideas as required to improve project performance
Minimum Qualifications(degree, training, or certification required)
University degree in engineering/construction field or equivalent, in Engineering, Construction Management or related fields.
Minimum Experience(technical, functional, and/or leadership experience required)
10 years minimum experience in the construction project execution of chemical/petrochemical projects.
