Position: Safety Specialist (Full-Time, Direct Hire)
Location: Clemson, SC
Compensation: $25–$32/hour + Full Benefits + 401(k)
Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a qualified and experienced On-Site Electrical Safety Specialist to join our team on a large-scale construction project in Clemson, SC. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career potential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction site safety, particularly in electrical environments, and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free jobsite. This role requires daily use of computer systems to complete safety documentation, so proficiency with basic software is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage and enforce the site-specific safety plan with a focus on hazard prevention and incident-free operations.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and complete required documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Safety Director and Jobsite Superintendent to ensure compliance with all safety standards.
- Assist with the organization and filing of safety-related documents and reports.
- Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing safety on active construction sites (electrical experience preferred).
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required).
- OSHA 500 and/or 501 Certification (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for safety documentation.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and procedures.
