The Contract Administrator will manage supply chain activities for capital projects, service contracts, and business needs, while fostering positive stakeholder relationships. They will handle contract negotiations, resolve change requests, perform receiving duties, and maintain supplier relationships. Additionally, they will oversee vendor performance, contract deliverables, and coordinate approvals and changes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Resolve contract issues and disputes efficiently through supplier negotiations.
- Ensure contractor compliance with pre-qualification systems and contractual requirements.
- Plan, prioritize, and handle multiple business requests with partners.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and suppliers.
- Manage agreements, issues, deliverables, and amendments.
- Provide contract support for capital projects, engineering, and operational needs.
- Coordinate with internal groups for information exchange, payment processing, and change management.
- Generate cost savings through supplier negotiations and contract administration.
- Issue and approve purchase orders, ensuring compliance with policies and risk mitigation.
- Manage contract changes, reconciliations, holdback releases, and close-outs.
Requirements
- 10-15 years of experience in Supply Chain for energy or manufacturing industries.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Commerce, or equivalent.
- Professional SCMP designation or enrollment is an asset.
- Strong understanding of contract composition, law, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Effective planning, scheduling, and prioritizing of workloads.
- Excellent time management and self-motivation.
