A Leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction company are recruiting for Contracts Managers to be based in Farnborough and work on an overseas LNG project in Africa.

Contracts Manager
We are looking for candidates who will be required to apply their in-depth Contracts knowledge to project execution by using their technical expertise based upon home office and field contracting experiences on major and complex projects. Candidates:-

• Will have successfully directed the contracts team effort from cradle to grave, on at least two major/complex onshore Oil and Gas EPCM
• Will have been personally responsible for the evaluation, negotiation, award and post-contract management of high valued site construction contracts.
• Will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience of all aspects of contracts engineering and contract management in the home office and field, including initial project set up (Manpower planning, execution planning, contracting procedures, systems, documentation etc.), risk assessment (Prime Contract, commercial, schedule and project execution risks), Terms and Conditions development including Prime Contract flow-down, contracting strategy development at overall and individual contract level, bidder prequalification, contract scope verification, RFP development, tender evaluation/clarification, negotiation, contract award, post award site contractor management including progress and productivity assessment, change management claims resolution, and close out.
• Will be fully conversant with and have sound practical application experience of the various commercial reimbursement models including re-measurable unit rate, fixed price lump sum and Incentivised.
• Will have sound knowledge of change management and claims prevention strategy and methodology
• Will have sufficient knowledge and understanding of design engineering and construction to be able to evaluate contract scopes for completeness and suitability and interrogate design to evaluate quantity growth potential.
• Will have gained significant site experience and will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the scope, activity sequencing and typical commercial risk areas of the major construction trades including civil, structural, buildings, mechanical, piping, E&I.
• Will also have experience in the evaluation and award of pre-fabrication, module fabrication, logistics and Process Licensor contracts.
• Will have good market knowledge and awareness

Basic Job Requirements
Degree education, BEng or BSc in relevant discipline
Previous established EPC contract/commercial management experience in oil and gas projects
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen alongside technical appreciation and knowledge
Quality deliverable driven
Tough negotiator when required
Ethics and Corporate Compliance leader by example
Accomplished presenter
Forward thinker- ability to look ahead to identify and resolve or avoid issues before they materialise
Ability to keep a broad view whilst being able to drill down and interrogate detain, when necessary
Ability to undertake business travel on short to long term basis as business needs dictate

Other Job Requirements
Expert computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the advanced use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Excellent communicator – verbal and written- at all levels including senior client management

Preferred Qualifications
Domestic/international field assignment experience preferred; international project experience preferred
