ob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Rigger to join our team. The Crane Rigger will be responsible for preparing and securing loads for lifting, guiding crane operators during lifts, and ensuring all rigging equipment is properly maintained and used in accordance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and prepare rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, hooks, and chains.
• Determine the weight and center of gravity of loads to be lifted.
• Secure loads using appropriate rigging techniques and equipment.
• Communicate clearly with crane operators using hand signals or radio communication.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Perform pre-lift planning and risk assessments.
• Assist in crane setup and dismantling as needed.
• Maintain rigging gear and report any defects or damage.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum [X] years of experience in rigging or crane operations.
• NCCCO Rigger Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong understanding of load charts, rigging techniques, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and lift plans.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor construction or industrial environments.
• Exposure to heights, loud noises, and heavy machinery.
• May require overtime, weekend, or night shifts depending on project needs.
